Help Honey Overcome Bone Cancer
Donation protected
Honey needs your help to have surgery at Mississippi State University Vet College to remove her bone cancer growth on her rib. Until it is removed we will not know if it is osteosarcoma or a chondrosarcoma which is what we all hope for since that is the less aggressive cancer and would allow me more time with her. If we did nothing and it was osteosarcoma she would only have a few months left to live, but surgery will give her the chance to possibly have a few more years and that is the goal for this sweet, young Honey.
As some of you know Honey’s story, my vet found a bone growth on her rib and attempted to remove it but was unsuccessful. Biopsies were sent out and came back with cancer results.
This Thursday 3/13/2025 she will have her initial visit with the oncologist at MSU and have a CTscan and possible radiographs. This first visit is $2,000-$3,000. After that, once a surgery is scheduled they are estimating on the high end for surgery to be $6,000. All this has to be paid upfront, day of. And if ends up being an osteosarcoma that would be another $6,000 for chemo after the surgery which I have not included in this gofundme yet since we have to wait and see. Obviously this was a shocker to me price was. I just started my own business last year taking pictures and freelance writing and I only make enough to pay my bills, so I have no money to afford any of this sadly.
As all of you that know, I love Honey and she is all I have left of my little family after a very hard year with a lot of loss and I can’t bear to lose her now too. I very much want more time with her and I know this surgery will do that. I appreciate all of you.
