Hello! My name is Homero Aguilar-Vega and I am raising money to be apart of the 2025 Phantom Regiment!

Drum Corps is a highly competitive, youth-centered activity that combines music, precision marching, and incredible athleticism. Think of it as a professional marching band—performing intricate musical arrangements while executing challenging choreography in unison. Drum corps performers, typically ages 18 to 22, dedicate countless hours to perfecting their craft, traveling across the country to compete in front of thousands of fans. The experience builds discipline, teamwork, and leadership, while also fostering lifelong friendships. It’s not just about the performance; it's about creating something extraordinary together. Last year I was fortunate enough to be apart of this group in this activity and it changed my life.

Unfortunately, this opportunity doesn't come free, actually quite the opposite. Our tuition this summer is $6000, and we also have 4 off-season rehearsal camps we are required to attend. These weekend-long rehearsal camps are located in Rockford, Illinois, which will cost me around $350 for each roundtrip flight.

Yes, this activity is expensive, but I wouldn't be putting all my time and effort into it if it weren't truly worth it. Marching with the Phantom Regiment last summer was hands down the best experience in my entire life. As a Music Education major at Texas Tech University, being able to learn from some of the worlds best music educators for an entire summer is one of the best ways I can pursue my career. Not only that, but through this activity I have made lifelong friends, whom many of which are also returning this summer.
