Hello, my name is Alvin Ceasear. My wife, Courtney, and I have 5 amazing children ages 14, 7, 5, 2, and 5 months. I am a hardworking Christian man who has always prided myself on being a provider for my family. I have never asked for help or handouts, but due to the desperate situation of my family, I am swallowing my pride to do what's best for them.

My family is currently homeless after a series of situations beyond our control. We exhausted our savings and lost our home when I became unemployed due to COVIID.

We recently rented an Rv for $800/month so that we could save enough money to get our children into a house that they deserve. Shortly after moving in we realized that Martin Lake Resort had rented us a place that should have been condemned. It was being held together with duct tape. I have included pictures that show that it was unfit for human habitation. After telling and showing the owners the extensive problems they refused to fix anything, (even leaving us with no hot water for weeks), refused to move us to another location, and instead, we were forced to leave.

We had no place to take our children, so we packed only what we could fit in our van with the seven of us and had to leave everything else we owned.

We have decided to move from Mississippi to North Carolina in search of a new beginning and new opportunities.

We have had to pay for a hotel room since we had no place else to go, but have exhausted our funds and will soon be sleeping in our van. We are keeping our faith in God and trusting that He will see us through these hard times as He always has.

We are praying that God will use some of you to bless us with enough donations to help us get back on our feet.

We will use your donations for gas, food, and lodging on our way to North Carolina and help us get home for our family when we arrive.
