We're dreaming big with plans for a third location to rescue even more stray kitties, and we're pouring all our love into this huge project!

Originated in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Cleocatra Cafe was built on the belief; every cat deserves a second chance. We operate as a temporary shelter while also serving as a cozy little cafe for everyone. Our mission is simple, to rehabilitate, rehome and rescue stray cats - and to do it with compassion, persistent love and tireless care.

Why Calgary?

The City of Calgary has expressed it's high rates of stray cats with animal shelters overwhelmed with intake EVERY DAY! We strongly believe our model will be a good helping hand for the future of animal rescue in the city. Integrating animal rescue into your everyday life!

Imagine grabbing your delicious morning latte while helping a kitty find their forever home. That's the Cleocatra magic we're bringing to Calgary.

Every cat we adopt out means one less unfortunate kitty roaming the freezing streets, and we're ready to make that happen with your support.

Cleocatra Cafe needs your help!

We are reaching out to all the cat lovers and Cleocatra supporters for help! Our next big leap, we are raising $25,000 CAD in order to open our third sanctuary of hope and shelter to extend our mission.

Our Impact

Since opening our doors in May 2023, Cleocatra has sheltered and re-homed over 500+ cats to safe and loving families! However - our mission is far from complete.

We still receive tons of messages daily about stray, abandoned, injured cats needing shelter. With every new location, we'll be able to bring in many more stray kitties who are still waiting out there. We plan on not only providing refuge but to act as an adoption site for potential families to connect with their forever furry-friend!
