Help Holly With Startup Costs For Reunion Hot Yoga

Donation protected
Dear Friends, Yogis, and Supporters,

My name is Holly Hancock, and I am asking for your help with start-up costs for my hot yoga studio, Reunion Hot Yoga. I cannot believe that my long-time dream of owning a yoga studio is so close to becoming a reality! After the Covid-19 closure of Hot Spot Dupont, the beloved studio where I taught for many years, I was determined to open a hot yoga studio in northwest DC where students could learn, grow, and thrive together. Reunion Hot Yoga is the culmination of these efforts and a true reflection of how this community has helped me to believe in myself. The new studio is located at 3232 Georgia Ave NW Suite 105, Washington, DC in the adorable neighborhood of Park View, located between Columbia Heights and Petworth. I hope to open the studio in late July or early August. You can check out our website reunionhotyoga.com for updates on the space. The website, like the studio, is under construction and more information will become available as we get closer to opening,

Reunion Hot Yoga represents more than just a physical space; it symbolizes the reunion of old friends from Hot Spot Dupont, current yogis from my online yoga classes, and all the new folks I know we can add to our community with an in-person space. Classes will be hybrid to continue to grow the community we've built beyond DC since I began teaching online in 2020. Shout out to my yogis in North Carolina, Kentucky, Ohio, and Washington State!

Yoga has been a guiding light in my life, offering me community, resilience and a path to self-discovery. I believe that this practice empowers others in the same way. With your support, we can bring the gift of hot yoga back to our community.

Current start-up costs are estimated at around $100,000. Inflation is no joke, y'all. By contributing to my fundraiser, you will help me ensure we have a beautiful and vibrant space to play yoga. Your generosity will help in covering legal, design and contractor fees, as well as physical materials like flooring, paint, yoga props, a water fountain, and the hybrid Zoom set-up. I am proud to have hired fellow female and minority-owned small businesses to help bring Reunion Hot Yoga to life.

Every contribution, no matter the size, brings me one step closer to this dream. Please share my campaign with your loved ones, colleagues, and social networks to expand the reach and maximize our impact. Check out our website reunionhotyoga.com for more information. The website, like the studio, is still under construction and more information will become available as we get closer to opening, https://reunionhotyoga.com.

By supporting Reunion Hot Yoga, you are not only investing in a physical space; you are investing in a community. Your contribution will foster a place where people can find their center, cultivate inner strength, and forge meaningful connections.

As I look to my 34th birthday, I am reminded of the African proverb "It takes a village to raise a child." Now, more than ever, I am aware that these villages never really go away. Thank you for being my village. I cannot wait to celebrate the opening of Reunion Hot Yoga with you soon!

Thank you for considering being a part of this endeavor. Your support means more than I can put into words.

With deep and humble gratitude,

Holly
