Help Holly Heal and Knock Out Cancer!
Donation protected

My sister, Holly, is a positive, caring person. She is among the first to help others-- attempting to see that their needs are met, problems solved--or, to organize a drive to help after earthquakes, hurricanes, or for animal rescue...
She was our mother's caregiver for many years...
Holly has done so much for so many in so many different ways.
Now, Holly needs help-- which isn't something she is used to.
She has been diagnosed with Stage 4 Adenocarcinoma/ Endometrial Cancer.
Holly has the tenacity to fight this.
Already, she has been through:
**A 10 hour surgery-- which was initially only supposed to take 3 hours.
**Not long after surgery, Holly developed sepsis, and had to be rushed to the Surgical ICU.
**A series of Radiation treatments to try to eradicate the "massive" cancerous tumor on her right hip, which the doctor stated "destroyed " it.
**An 8 week hospital stay.
This next phase will focus on the primary underlying cancer; the cancer relating to her hip was considered secondary.
Holly has a tough battle in the months ahead: treatment including immunotherapy, additional radiation, hormone therapy ideally as an alternative to chemo, potentially more surgery, physical therapy...
It's humbling to ask for help, but the stakes are high, and the timing is critical.
Since her initial surgery, her right leg has been significantly swollen, limiting her mobility even as she rehabilitates. Holly uses a wheelchair or walker at this point to get around.
She cannot climb the stairs to the second floor in her home; a stair lift must be installed.
Through all of this, Holly has continued to work, adapting as necessary.
However, to say there are many out of pocket costs not covered by insurance in addition to her day to day expenses would be an understatement.
Your donation will help with living expenses, transportation to treatment and appointments since she cannot drive at present; certain modifications to Holly's home which will allow reasonable access and function; home health aides...

(Pictured above are her beloved dogs, Dave and Tony.)
Your support will help alleviate some of the immediate financial stress, which will allow Holly to focus on what's necessary to win this battle.
We greatly appreciate your interest and consideration.
