Holly's Funeral and Medical Expenses for Daniel
Donation protected
Eric Daniel Gourieux, age 32, tragically passed away from injuries sustained in a
snowboarding accident on Thursday, February 18, 2021. Daniel is survived by his loving wife, Holly Gourieux, as well as many grieving friends and family. Now, after losing her life partner a mere four years into what should have been a lifetime of happiness, Holly is faced with the overwhelming burden of something we all fear- medical bills. We ask for anything that you may be willing to offer to help her through her time of need as she learns to navigate through life alone during this difficult time. Daniel spent six days in the ICU on life support, going through numerous tests to assess the amount of damage he suffered. The doctors confirmed that his heart stopped momentarily upon the impact of hitting the ground when he lost his balance, causing lack of oxygen to his brain, resulting in multiple strokes and brain bleeds, as well as a fracture to his skull. Sadly, the damage was irreversible and his brain function wasn't able to be recovered. Although the situation is heartbreaking, the silver lining is that Daniel was an organ donor. Although he is no longer with us, his selflessness is able to help other families in their time of need. His friends and family can attest to the fact that he would give the shirt off his back to help whoever he could. Daniel is a true hero, helping multiple recipients in need of organs. His funeral will be held on Wednesday, February 23, 2021. Any amount you are able to donate will assist with funeral and medical expenses and allow Holly to continue life while mourning for her beloved husband.
