Help Holly conquer cancer

Hi,

We are Holly's Support Squad; a small group of friends helping to coordinate care for Holly as she conquers cancer!

On March 1, 2023, Holly was diagnosed with Indolent Non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma, and will soon begin 6 months of chemotherapy. During this time Holly will be unable to work, and we hope to raise funds to cover her living expenses, and medical needs during this time.

Holly recently moved to British Columbia for work and will be without her family, who are out of province, as she undergoes treatment. She is also having to navigate her cancer diagnosis and treatment without a family doctor due to the healthcare provider shortage in British Columbia.

Holly wears many hats; physiotherapist, daughter, sister, colleague, competitive eater, and friend, (just to name a few).

As a healthcare provider, Holly understands the importance of advocacy and access to care. In her own words:

"I encourage anyone who feels that there is something wrong with their health to advocate for themselves. I always tell my patients that they know their body better than anyone else and if you still feel like something is wrong push until you get the answers you need. It took me 11 months of numerous urgent care visits, lab work, ER visits, referrals to specialists and a lengthy hospital admission and I still pushed. If someone doesn't believe you, keep going until someone does. "
