Help Holly and Brien get back on their feet

 

 

 

 

As I sit here and try to write this, it’s hard to come up with the words.

 

The last few years, 2019 until now – seems like we have ALL been through it one way or another. A pandemic, natural disaster all over the world, job losses and death in massive numbers. Who could have ever imagined, right?! For a lot of us in Louisiana, the last massive devastation to impact us, was Hurricane Ida on August 27, 2021.

 

Unfortunately for my sister Holly and her family, while still in the middle of repairs from Ida, Holly, Bj and their 2 human children, as well as four fur babies suffered yet another loss, their family home caught fire on Friday, Nov. 19, 2021 and caused a significant amount of damage.

 

All of the humans are safe and were not home at time. Unfortunately, 3 out of 4 of their fur babies gained their angel wings and crossed over the rainbow bridge. Nate, Jackie, and Simba, we will see you on the other side. Maui was able to escape and has returned home. The fur babies were very loved and are solemnly missed. They left their family and friends with some great memories and lots of smiles.

 

What they know for sure is the fire started in the kitchen, the cause of the fire is still unknown. The damage is extensive and throughout the home. They were able to save some clothes, however they lost nearly, everything else; furniture, household items, beds, bedding, dishes, pots pans, towels etc. The structure of the home suffered damage and the inside is nearly a total loss. They are planning to rebuild, but they need some help.
