Hello my name is Hollis Grimes. I was in a horrible accident on February 29th, 2024 in Big Bear Ca. I launched 12 feet into the air off an icy rail, landed extremely hard resulting in a compound fracture to my femur, hairline fracture in my hip socket, and fractures in the spinous processes L 1-4. I was taken by ambulance to the local hospital in Big Bear and then transferred to Loma Linda Trauma Emergency Room. Within hours I had emergency surgery, placing a rod in my leg and pins in my knee. After a week in the hospital I began my long road to recovery of 9 months. I needed constant care as well as assistance with simple tasks like getting in and out of bed and could only sleep on my back with a protective device to prevent further injury. I was unable to walk for a month, then with a walker and now currently with a cane. Due to the accident I have not been able to return to work. Even with health insurance my medical bills and expenses are enormous. If you could assist me through this difficult time I would be eternally grateful. Thank you so much.
