Help Hollie and Her Kids Avoid Homelessness

Donation protected
It is with a great wrenching pain in my heart that I make this desperate plea to you for my good friend Hollie and her two good kids. It pains me that an unprecedented immense hardship has suddenly befallen them, and it pains me that I cannot solve the problem by myself. Hollie and her kids are about to be homeless. Soon.

Hollie traded most of her adult years for raising her two children, Chase and Chalise, and to make a home for her family with her husband. Hollie and her kids were recently left moneyless, carless, jobless, and soon-to-be homeless by her unfaithful husband who chose to throw his family away. Hollie’s husband - now living with his mother - has refused to renew the lease where his kids live with Hollie. He left them in a situation dooming them to the misery and indignity of homelessness. This is the time of year youth should be focusing their mind, heart, and energy on the new school year. Instead, Hollie’s kids are counting the days until they are evicted with nowhere to go.

Hollie has been eagerly and diligently seeking work in her previous career field of housekeeper, senior care specialist, caring for the autistic, and as dog sitter. But without any transportation whatsoever, that’s a near-impossible task that at best still would not come close to keeping a roof over their heads or food in their bellies. Further hampering Hollie’s survival efforts is the fact that all her close family are deceased, her brother being the most recent passing just a month ago.

Hollie has been mapping out a long-term plan to independence for her and her kids. But she faces an insurmountable immediate crisis that must be nullified soon; an eviction that is expected to begin in just two weeks. That gives Hollie just 45 days to save her kids and herself from homelessness.

Hollie’s dilemma came without warning and crashed into her reality while she was busy making a home for her family. Hollie is a go-getter. She is motivated and determined to succeed. But to do so she needs the things many take for granted – a working car and a place to live. I’m hoping to raise $20k for Hollie to buy a used car and to cover their living expenses for six months while she pursues work. I truly feel a car and six months is what’s needed for Hollie to gain full-time employment and become self-sufficient. Please help Hollie to get back up on her own two feet, so she can take care of her kids and so she may later be positioned to help others similarly in need.

I’ve been there, and I’m sure you have been there too; a dark place where life threw too much too soon at you, and suddenly you were overwhelmed, outnumbered, outpaced, and stretched too thin over a barrel. But then someone stepped in and extended their warm hand towards yours, and with a calming smile upward they lifted you. The days became less dark, warmth returned to your soul, and your weakened heart grew strong again.

Whether it’s one dollar or more, your help is genuinely and humbly appreciated. A small gesture can lead to huge effect. Please help my friend Hollie and her two kids by donating now. All donations go directly to Hollie – I have no access to the funds. You will be forever remembered and loved for your compassion and understanding.
