UPDATE ON KYLE'S CONDITION: This week Kyle was informed by his doctor that his Kidney numbers have changed one score; as a result, protocols call for his removal from the transplant list. This is an unexpected welcome step in the right direction. Kyles doctors caution his numbers may very well change, putting him back on the list. In light of this news Kyle has made the request to cease the operation of this page. Kyle has had very serious health struggles for well over a year now, and has been very limited in his ability to work.
Kyle is extremely grateful to everyone who made a donation, sent kind words of encouragement, and to those that have kept him in their prayers. Kyles request will be honored.
On a personal note: Thank You to everyone that responded to this fund, and to Kyles many many friends that have done tremendously k ind things to help him through the last year and a half. Art has been his rock, the community his lifeline; he is humbled and grateful.
As contact for this page I will leave it up for a limited time so that anyone with questions or concerns can reach me via the button at the bottom the page. Peg Struzik
Our dear friend and beloved Pembroke resident, Kyle Harney, needs our help. In April of 2020, Kyle was rushed to the hospital and eventually diagnosed with Liver failure. He was very close to death when he thankfully received a lifesaving transplant a little over a year ago.
Battling a liver transplant during COVID-19 has been tremendously hard on Kyle; however he prevailed and jumped back in with his ever-present enthusiasm.
A month ago, Kyle again began feeling ill; after additional tests it has been determined that he is now in need of a Kidney transplant.
For years, Kyle has graced our town with his loving and positive presence. Kyle has contributed to and took the lead on many projects in our community; he is one of Pembroke's most beloved residents.
For a second time in recent months, Kyle will be extremely limited in his ability to work; the financial strain during recovery will be another long and challenging journey. We are asking you to please consider any type of donation to offset this financial burden so Kyle can focus on healing in the months to come. Your help, generosity, and prayers are greatly appreciated.
