Help Hoffman Brace for Brain Surgery

At the end of May, a time when teachers and students alike were wrapping up the school year and excitedly anticipating the recreation and relaxation that are the cornerstones of summer vacation, the Hoffmans were given the news no family wants to hear.  Justin’s MRI had revealed a nerve tumor near his brain; also known as a vestibular schwannoma, this growth can have devastating effects on both hearing and balance.  He is scheduled for surgery in a few shorts weeks that requires moving his brain and removing the balance nerve completely in order to access the tumor.  While surgeons say his prognosis is good, it remains uncertain how long it will take before Justin will fully recover and regain his physical equilibrium and cognitive function.
