This is Hobo.
Hobo is 1.5 years old, a Yukon rescue dog, a professional snow enthusiast, and an excellent fetch player. He’s quiet, gentle, deeply attached to his human… and unfortunately very bad at making food-related life decisions.
Hobo’s owner, Nico, came all the way from Italy to Canada to explore the world. Somewhere along the way, these two found each other and became inseparable. Since then, they’ve tackled the Bow Valley together — including injuries, housing struggles, surprise costs, broken cars, vet bills, and now… this.
Hobo played a little too rough and swallowed something he absolutely shouldn’t have. The result: a major surgery he urgently needs.
We’ve done our best, but as visitors on a limited work visa, getting a loan isn’t an option — and the costs have stacked up fast. We’re honestly a bit overwhelmed, but giving up on Hobo is not on the list.
Hobo is still a puppy with a whole life ahead of him — more snow, more fetch, more quiet cuddles, and hopefully fewer attempts to eat random objects.
If you’re able to help with even a small amount, it would mean the world to us. Every dollar truly helps, and every bit of support goes straight toward getting Hobo healthy and back on his paws.
Thank you for reading, sharing, caring — and keeping Hobo (and Nico) in your hearts.
With lots of love,
Nico, Hobo
