Hobbs, my beloved dog, recently went through an ordeal that no pet owner ever wants to experience. After escaping from our fenced yard, Hobbs spent 16 long days lost in the wild while we searched tirelessly for him. The entire time, friends, family, and an incredible online community came together to help track him. When we finally found Hobbs, he had been hit by a car and was in desperate need of medical attention. He spent several days in the pet ICU, fighting to recover from his injuries and the weakened state caused by his time away from home.

Hobbs suffered bruising on his lungs and all over his body, and he was closely monitored for internal bleeding. Even now, we continue to watch his breathing and overall health, as he is still on several medications and requires constant care. During his ordeal, Hobbs lost 15 pounds, leaving him very weak and in need of ongoing support to regain his strength. The vet bills, medications, and follow-up treatments are adding up quickly, and we want to make sure Hobbs gets everything he needs to make a full recovery.
