Hello friends,
Unfortunately we learned today that following 4 months of diagnostic attempts and pain management, our sweet cat Hobbes has a brain tumor (meningioma). Meningioma is the most common brain tumor in cats and rarely becomes malignant, but instead puts pressure on the brain that causes pain and neurological dysfunction that grows worse over time. Because meningioma grows on the surface of the brain, surgery typically offers the best prognosis--including potentially fully curing the condition.
For those of you who've met Hobbes, you know that he is the happiest cat in the world and wants nothing but to be loved. He is only 7 years old and should have many years ahead of him to enjoy and live to the fullest. We would like to give him a last fighting chance by pursuing this surgery, but with a baby soon to arrive, we humbly ask for any contributions you are able to offer.
We are eternally grateful for any support that may give our sweet stripey cat many more years of happiness.
