Help Hiromi's Cancer Battle

We are fundraising for our dear friend Hiromi Olson and her family as they continue to support her through her battle with breast cancer. She successfully beat her first diagnosis two years ago, but found out just before Christmas that it was back and it had metastasized to other parts of her body. Her prognosis is currently incurable, but not terminal, and she is on a long-term targeted therapy.

Because of COVID, Hiromi has been separated from the support of her extended family throughout her battle with cancer; they all live abroad in Japan. Currently, her mother is really hoping to fly to Portland to help her manage her care for a few months. Many of us know Hiromi through her son N, who is an 8th grader at a local public school. She is a devoted mother, volunteer at school and friend. She has committed herself to raising N. as a bilingual Japanese/English speaker, and until recently has brought him to Japan every summer for Japanese school. Theirs is a one-income family, and with our help, Hiromi's husband could better afford to take more time off from work, as well as buy whatever groceries and supplies they might need. Let's band together to help bring some financial comfort to Hiromi and her family at this critical time
