Hello! I’m Leah, and I live in Los Angeles with my husband Kjell and our beloved dog Hiro.

Just before Christmas, we brought Hiro to the vet due to a decreased appetite, swelling in his abdomen, some breathing changes, and a general not-quite-himself-ness. An initial ultrasound shows a small pocket of fluid, but, of course, more testing is needed in order to figure out what’s going on with him.

The TL;DR here is that we do not have the funds right now in order to pay for the additional testing that Hiro needs. And, of course, depending on his diagnosis, we may need additional funds for any potential treatment.
