Help Hiro Beat Cancer – Emergency Leg Amputation Surgery
Hiro is our 7-year-old malamute/husky mix and a huge part of our family. He’s more than just a pet—he’s my best friend and has been by my side through everything, including when I went through my own health challenges with pre-cancer cells. He’s always been a source of comfort, love, and strength for us.
Recently, Hiro was diagnosed with a mast cell tumor, and things have escalated quickly. He became weak and very sick, and we had to rush him to the emergency vet, where we stayed overnight while they worked to stabilize him. Right now, he is still at the hospital under their care, being kept comfortable while they run tests and monitor his condition. The vet has told us that he will likely need leg amputation surgery to remove the cancer and give him a real chance at recovery. The costs for surgery, aftercare, and any additional treatment are overwhelming.
Hiro is still fighting. He lifts his head when we call him and looks at us—we know he’s still there. If this surgery can give him a chance to recover and feel like himself again, we want to give him that chance.
Any support—whether it’s a donation or simply sharing this page—would mean the world to us. Thank you for taking the time to read Hiro’s story and for helping us fight for him. If he needs further treatment, such as chemotherapy, we will update everyone as we go.
