Help Hilliard Automotive Team Recover

On Wednesday, July 1, 2026, a driver lost control and crashed into one of our two shop buildings at 5421 Brook Rd, causing it to partially collapse. By what feels like a miracle, no injuries were reported and all of our employees are safe. [Read the news coverage here.](https://www.wtvr.com/news/local-news/henrico-county/hilliard-auto-partial-collapse-july-1-2026)

We operate out of two buildings — the one that was hit, and a second building with two fully functioning bays. We remain open and continue serving our customers while we rebuild.

Two of our mechanics lost their personal tools in the collapse — tools that represent years of personal investment, often tens of thousands of dollars or more. Our team: three mechanics, a service writer, and a manager — the people who show up every day for our customers, and who are most affected by this.

Funds go toward:
- Replacing the tools our mechanics lost
- Keeping our team paid while we operate at reduced capacity
- Temporary workstations so our mechanics can keep working

From Patrick, owner: I'm incredibly grateful everyone is safe. Hilliard Automotive remains open and will keep serving our customers through this rebuild. Right now, our priority is making sure our team doesn't miss a paycheck, and helping our mechanics get back to full strength. If you've ever trusted us with your car, this is a chance to help us keep that trust going. We're deeply grateful for the support already shown by our community.
