The tradition continues at James Hillhouse High School, where the Track & Field program has represented the City of New Haven with pride, excellence, and championship-level success for decades. Hillhouse is one of Connecticut’s most historic athletic programs, with the boys’ and girls’ track teams combining for more than 50 state championships over the years. Under the leadership of dedicated coaches and mentors, Hillhouse athletes have consistently competed at the highest levels in Connecticut and on the national stage.

This year, 11 Hillhouse student-athletes have earned the opportunity to compete at the Adidas High School Track & Field National Championships in Greensboro, NC. This is a remarkable achievement, continuing a long-standing tradition of excellence. The Hillhouse Track & Field program has produced state champions, State Open champions, All-State athletes, national qualifiers, and young men and women who have gone on to college and successful careers beyond athletics.

Travel, lodging, meals, entry fees, and transportation costs create a major financial burden for many families. We are asking alumni, community leaders, local businesses, former athletes, parents, and supporters of New Haven youth athletics to help us give these student-athletes the opportunity they have worked tirelessly to earn. This is bigger than track and field—it’s about giving young people exposure, opportunity, and the chance to represent New Haven and Hillhouse on one of the biggest stages in high school athletics. Any donation amount helps and is greatly appreciated.
