The Hillhouse Boys and Girls track teams need your assistance.

WHY? We are trying to raise funds for six student-athletes who have qualified for the New Balance High School National Championships at the University of Pennsylvania from June 20 to June 22 in beautiful downtown Philadelphia.

BACKGROUND: The Hillhouse Track Teams have a proud history of consistently being one of the top teams in the state. Our greatest accomplishment is having numerous student-athletes attend and graduate from various colleges through sport and academics! Yale, Dartmouth, Georgetown, Brown, UPENN, the University of Florida, The Ohio State, Clemson University, the University of Indiana, and the University of Kentucky, to name a few.

One of my priorities, as a coach, is to provide the kids of New Haven with experiences outside of our state. The student-athletes have competed in Texas, Illinois, Ohio, South Carolina, Florida, Iowa, and North Carolina, to name a few. Those opportunities position them to receive scholarships to some of the most prestigious schools in the country.

We are asking for your help with entry fees, lodging, food, and transportation. After sitting down and calculating the costs, we need about $3,000. Anything you can do will help us out tremendously. These are the kids who have qualified so far!!!

9 Ny'asia Taylor (Best mark by a freshman distance in school history) Qualified for the Championship Freshman Triple Jump

9 Juliana Holmes (4th Best Mark in School History for a freshman) Qualified for the Championship Freshman 100 hurdles

Deren Newton, William Gibson, Josiah Barrett, Mahkai Hayward, Qualified for the Championship 1600 SMR.
