Help High Summer Finish Our Album!

Hi friends! High Summer is finishing our debut album, and we need your support!

We began recording an album of all-original compositions during the pandemic, and have recorded half of the songs and even released the first few tracks (on streaming platforms everywhere!). It is time to finish the album, and we will be recording the final tracks and completing all mixing and mastering at the legendary Tank Recording Studios in Burlington, VT this November 2024. This process is expensive, and we need your support to bring this music into the world.

We are first and foremost a live band, and have been crafting our live performance of original music for the last eight years. In celebration of this, we will be recording the remaining tracks in front of a live studio audience at the Tank on November 23rd (come join us - highsummervt.com for more info!), followed by post-production and release early in 2025.

We know there are SO many worthy causes to contribute to right now. We believe music is healing - we are creating this album to uplift the spirits and nourish the culture of our communities near and far, and to bring joy, creativity, and light to a world that often feels dark and confusing. High Summer’s sound is a visceral groove.

Original compositions are complimented by well-curated covers that highlight the group’s dynamic musical exploration over a deep-pocket rhythmic foundation, born from years of collaboration in some of Vermont’s finest bands. Strong horns layer with the golden voice of Miriam Bernardo, with rich melodies of keys and strings built over a rock solid rhythm section.

This deep groove outfit is composed of long-time members of the Burlington musical community, who are current or former members of groups such as Steady Betty, Afinque, Michelle Sarah Band, Mal Maiz, Gordon Stone Band, Japhy Ryder, Myra Flynn, Barika, Vermont Jazz Ensemble, Saturn People Sound Collective, and many others.
