Dearest Friends/Colleagues/Family of Hieu "Yessirr" Tran,
In March, Hieu and his 1-year-old daughter were involved in a serious accident while driving to her first birthday party. It was the first rain in a while and the road conditions were slick with poor visibility. A truck up ahead of him abruptly swerved to avoid a large FOD that had fallen on the freeway. In an effort to also avoid hitting the object, Hieu had to attempt emergency evasive maneuvering (Allenberg).
Unfortunately, his vehicle hydroplaned and he ended up rolling his vehicle over. It is a miracle that both Hieu and his daughter have recovered physically from this accident, but are now left with severe financial casualties.
Hieu's occupation requires that he maintain a spotless driving record, and the police report errantly and inaccurately concluded that the accident may have been caused by excessive speed. As a result, Hieu was placed on administrative leave, without pay, and this past week had his car repossessed.
Hieu has disputed the police report and even his insurance company released him from any fault. Hieu has sought legal assistance and is awaiting the verdict of his appeal requesting that the officer amend his earlier report given these latest findings.
As we all know, Hieu has been a model of safe driving with a clean record, and was merely a victim of bad luck. Nevertheless, he is fighting to get his job back so that he can continue to support his loving family.
Please join us in helping Hieu get back on his feet again and regain his livelihood. Your kind and generous contribution would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you and God Bless.
