Calling on all friends of Hideaway Caye to help replace the skiff that was stolen from their home in the Pelican Cays in Belize on December 10th.
The 25-foot skiff with a 75 HP Yamaha Enduro, “Captain Joe,” was an integral part of life at Hideaway Caye, not only providing transportation for guests, fishing, lobster and conch hunting, but also as the critical only access to the mainland.
If you’ve been lucky enough to spend time at Hideaway Caye, you know the kindness and generosity of the Ingersoll family. You also know they would go out of their way to help others and not ask anything in return. Let’s do this for them!
We're hoping to raise enough to replace Captain Joe and right this wrong. In the event that the skiff is recovered, or any additional funds raised, will be sent to Hideaway Caye for relief during this pandemic.
