Support Hiba and her family in Gaza!

Dear friends, family, and everybody else,
my name is Charlotte Sisalem, I'm living in Germany and I'm launching this fundraising campaign on behalf of Hiba Shaat, one of my fathers cousins in Gaza. Hiba, her husband Ayman and their 3 sons (Haitham, 22, Yazen, 17, and Karim, 13) have been forcibly displaced from their hometown Gaza city at the beginning of the war. They went to Rafah first, then had to flee again and are now living as refugees in Deir-El-Balah in central Gaza in a small tent for the 5 of them. They have lost everything in the war and their house in Gaza is most probably completely destroyed (the pictured house is the house my grandparents used to live in when they were back in Gaza, Hiba has no recent picture of her house but it assumingly is in the same state). Life in the Gaza strip has become unbearable and the situation is getting worse day by day. There is a huge shortage of basic necessities to live (water, food, clothing, medicine,...) and ongoing shellings everyday putting their lifes at risk.
The situation in the Gaza Strip has become more complex and dire than before (when I initiated this campaign). The Israeli army IDF is now controlling the Rafah crossing (to Egypt). This has resulted in a closure of the crossing, and Gaza citizens no longer get permits to enter Egypt. It is unclear when or if this will change any time soon. Accordingly, Hiba and her family have no other choice than staying in Gaza for the moment. As mentioned above, they have lost their house and have no savings left. Costs for basic necessities have exploded since beginning of the war due to the mentioned shortages. This leaves Hiba and her family with no other option than to use the funds to survive on a daily basis (water, food, medicine, clothing, transport). In addition to the financial help offered by my family in Germany since the beginning of the war, I now ask for your much needed help to be able to come up for the costs of living of Hiba and her family.
Every donation will make a significant difference in helping them to carry on in this horrific situation and provide the basic necessities as devastation has left them in a precarious situation.
If you can contribute anything to help Hiba and her family I’d be more than thankful. And please share this post with your communities/friends/families as much as possible in order to have a chance to reach our goal.
UPDATE: Hiba and her family are no longer in Rafah! Due to the heavy attacks they had to flee once again and are now living in a small tent for the five of them in Deir Al Balah in central Gaza.
