Help HeyZeus

Hi, this is Jo. This page is not easy to create, as Timm and I are honestly at a loss and hoping friends can help us a bit.

For those that might not know HeyZeus’s story, he has been in and out of vet care from day one with us. He was a mighty 11 lbs. and so sickly. And through the last 9 years we’ve been able to cover expenses without pause. This will be his fifth major surgery to save his life and we know this isn’t looking good and we are not ready to say goodbye.

HeyZeus has had urinary incontinence since he was born. He’s had one surgery when he was 1 to try to fix his ectopic ureter. However, he’s remained in diapers his entire life as the surgery didn’t solve the full issue. In December 2021, Zeus had a lot of bladder stones removed through an emergency vet (roughly 30+ stones) and he was straining to pee for over 24 hrs. We changed his diet to prescription food, adjusted his habits with table scraps and in six months, stones have reformed. On June 23, we called multiple vets and thankfully found an emergency vet in Seattle that has a team that was able to help. Last night/this morning he went in surgery to remove stones once again and save his life. We thought we’d get to bring Zeus home on June 24, however, more stone(s) remain in his bladder and he is undergoing surgery once again this evening at the same emergency vet.

After tonight’s surgery we are hopeful to bring our sweetest lovable boy home. We will be meeting with internists to see what else we can do to prevent the stone formation and help ease the pain. We also have a biopsy out for his bladder wall and another to understand the increased liquid found in his intestines.

We greatly appreciate any funds you can spare to help our sweet boy. Between Zeus’s surgeries and Luci’s recent cancer removals our funds are running short. We will be forever grateful for your support.
