Help hero with the deposit for surgery

Hi, my name is Nicole Morton. I am fundraising for the deposit amount of our dog Hero's surgery cost, he is a little minpin/ Chihuahua. On March 15, 2025, he jumped off the bed beside me and immediately started wincing and whining in pain, we brought him to the first vet in mission here, they said that he needed surgery, TPLO surgery that cost in a range of $4000-$6000 that didn't sit right with us, so I took him for a second opinion at RAPS in Richmond BC. They quoted us $3301.20 for extracapsular repair surgery as it's less invasive recovery time is better (my gut was right, and the first vet that quoted surgery is for a dog 20 kg or more, and our Hero is only 7.3 kg). I am reaching out to the community as i am in need of help to cover the cost of the deposit, which is half the surgery. I can do a payment plan with the vet for the remainder. I have spent $1264.01 at the vet already with presurgical assessment and X-rays. This dog isn't just any dog he is so special to us. He was a birthday gift from my late husband. He is a very rambunctious full of life and has so much love to give. It hurts my heart to have to medicate him every day to manage the pain. We have to watch him limp around, sure is heartbreaking, and hard as I have multiple special needs kids that love him. He is turning 4 next month. I have 30 days from today to pay the deposit and book the surgery. The amount of the deposit is $1802.89. I will take it down once the goal is met. Thank you to anyone who donates and reads this far.
