Help Herminio's family for funeral costs
Donation protected
It is with deep sadness to inform the Filipino community in Scotland that another hero has fallen today.
Herminio Abalos, or Meng to friends and family is a Filipino nurse for almost 20 years in Dundee, Scotland. He's a bread winner for his wife and 3 children. His dedication to his profession is undeniably valued by all the Care Homes that he worked for and can hear feedbacks from residents, resident's relatives/families, work colleagues how caring he was. He was good hearted in nature. He has done his part as a front liner to protect himself and others in order to carry out his duties.
Two weeks ago he developed symptoms of corona virus and his test came back positive. His breathing has gone from bad to worst and was rushed to Ninewells Hospital where he was subsequently admitted to Ward 17, then MHDU and later to ICU. He fought for his life for almost 2 weeks......but sadly he did not make it.
Most of us from foreign countries has no immediate family around and specially at this unprecedented times that even our close friends could not be physically around to give comfort and reassurance in times like these.
I am knocking into your kind hearts to give financial assistance to Meng's family to let them feel that they are not alone in this difficult times. Any amount will help with his funeral care and if travel is no longer restricted his family would like to bring home his ashes to join his Amang( Father) and Inang (Mother) back home in the Philippines. More than the financial help, we asked for your prayers for eternal repose of his soul.
Thank you for your generosity, love, prayers and support to Meng & his family. May God keep you and your family safe & well at all times. God bless.
-Update 16.30 06/02/2021
I have increased the amount to help with the funeral costs and also to help out with living costs and immediate aftermath of Herminio's passing...
