Help Hercules, The Wonder Cat, Get Well
Donation protected
My name is Jim Glines and I have a dearly loved companion, my cat Hercules. Today, Hercules got very sick and I had to bring him immediately to the Southington Veterinary Clinic and Hospital, fortunately just down the street from my apartment. He was not moving or making any noises; he began defecating and vomiting everywhere and then could not walk. I brought him to his vet and they are keeping him overnight and doing many tests to find the cause.
I had to sign a permission slip to have him cared for at the vet, and the estimate was more than seven hundred dollars so far. This does not include keeping him there, more additional tests, or any other expense that may be incurred. The vet was not willing to make an estimate but she did say that it would more than likely be upwards of two thousand dollars if this was a complex case. I am right now awaiting word as to Hercules' condition and prognosis.
I have never approached people for help in this way and it is daunting, but ask I must. I need your help to make sure that my boy makes it through this. I am a senior citizen, live in subsidized senior housing here in Southington, CT, and live month-to-month on Social Security, like many of my fellow seniors. And I may be able to come up with some money toward this bill but I won't be able to pay it all, it will take me a very long time and cause quite a bit of hardship.
I will do what I must to help my boy, no matter what. But I am asking for your help so that the two of us do not struggle for years trying to make payments to the vet and for any ongoing care that might be needed. I am looking into any assistance that is available but so far it has been out of reach.
Even the smallest donation will be not only appreciated but will go a long way to help the two of us through this crisis. I know that giving is tough for most of us to do these days, and we all are in a bind one way or another. But I humbly ask that you consider two things: I have never asked for help before, and do so with my spirit undiminished in spite of the need.
I also need my boy with me as a support pet because I suffer from Bipolar Disorder and in fact have documentation from my health care providers that Hercules is in fact my support pet. There is a good reason that I always call him Hercules, The Wonder Cat - he is a miracle in my life and I simply cannot allow him to have no care in the face of this crisis. Anything that you could give would be wonderful, and it would be equally wonderful to know that out there in the world there are people that understand the situation and are willing to help. Thank you for any assistance you can give be it monetary or just your hopes.
Thank you!
