Help Me Care for Herbert
This GoFundMe is helping me keep Herbert alive. It allows me to cover the cost of his daily care and gives me the ability to say yes to life-saving treatments and emergencies that I cannot afford on my own.
Herbert is my entire world, and he is currently fighting multiple serious illnesses, including cancer, kidney disease, hyperthyroidism, heart disease, anemia, IBD, and megacolon.
His care is constant and hands-on. Every single day, I administer his medications, give him fluids, monitor his condition closely, and help keep him comfortable. I am his full-time caretaker.
Even without emergencies, his care costs $900–$1,000 per month:
• $200 for food
• $150 for fluids and supplies
• $250 for medications
• $300 for monthly vet visits
He also sees specialists regularly, and when emergencies happen, hospitalizations can cost $4,000–$6,000+ at a time.
I am disabled and on a fixed income, and I cannot keep up with these costs alone, especially during emergencies.
