Help Reopen Herb Niemann's Steak & Schnitzel House After Devastating Flood
Dear Whatcom County Community,
If you've ever enjoyed a perfectly aged steak, a hearty schnitzel, or the warm, welcoming atmosphere at Herb Niemann's on Main Street in Everson, you know it's more than just a restaurant, it's a cornerstone of our community.
For over 25 years, Herb Niemann's has been a beloved gathering place. Beyond the delicious food, owners Angel and Matt Goering are true community heroes. Time and again through disasters, the challenges of COVID, and any crisis in between Matt and Angel have stepped up to serve those in need, feeding first responders, supporting neighbors, and opening their doors and hearts to anyone who needed help.
Now, they need our help.
The recent flooding from the Nooksack River has devastated Everson once again. Water surged over Main Street, inundating businesses and homes, including Herb Niemann's. The restaurant has suffered severe damage and is currently inoperable, leaving Matt, Angel, their dedicated staff, and our entire community without this vital hub.
We are rallying together to raise $60,000 as quickly as possible to cover immediate cleanup, repairs, equipment replacement, and reopening costs. Your donation will help get Herb Niemann's back on its feet so Matt and Angel can do what they do best: serve incredible food and continue supporting our community in times of need.
Every dollar counts, whether it's $10 for a future appetizer or more to help rebuild. Please donate today and share this campaign with your friends, family, and networks. Let's show Angel and Matt the same kindness they've shown us for years.
Together, we can bring back the heart of Everson.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts,
The Friends & Supporters of Herb Niemann's
