Please Help me get beyond this STRUGGLE!

As most of you know, my name is Stephanie Breda and I am currently battling Metastatic Stage III Breast Cancer. Although this is my second go around with this disease, I am continuing to give it my best fight daily. Unfortunately, this second fight has proven to be a bit tougher than the first, and I have been forced to go on FMLA with hopes to return to work after my treatments.

I am currently finishing up my chemo treatments, with radiation and surgery around the next corner. I have no doubt this next chapter in my medical journey will be just as tough as the first, but I'm ready to get through this and move forward with my life!

Unfortunately, this journey has not only affected my health, but has also impacted and ultimately taken my marriage. My husband, Mike, has decided he would like to get a divorce in the midst of all this, leaving me to battle this out on my own with the support of my friends and family. I will never understand his decisions, but I must find a way to move forward and support myself.

My health insurance, which was through my work has now ended as well as my short-term disability. I have applied for long-term disability to help me through the remainder of my treatments but am still waiting for the approval. I have also exhausted several avenues of applying for state aid to assist in any way possible while I finish this journey, but the outcome of those applications remains to be seen.

With the next treatment chapter of my life beginning, I will also be tasked with going up to New York to remove my belongings from our family home. I will need to get them back to Florida, as well as finding a new place to call home here and start over, on my own. I am hopeful and thankful for the love and support of my family, friends and community during this very difficult time. In the meantime, I have turned this journey over to God. He has a plan, and I have faith! God Bless and Thank You!
