Do a little bit of an update. Amy’s neurologist appt and counseling have finally been set up. Both are to begin in March. Workmens comp is soooo slow. I am getting her some private help in her concussion rehabilitation on my own. I’m not comfortable with Workman’s comps slow process. Any help to her fund is greatly
appreciated.
My name is John Rogalla and I’m fundraising for my daughter Amy Hernandez. She is a single mom with 2 teenage daughters at home. On December 3rd 2022, she was violently attacked by a psychotic man who was inappropriately house in the residential care facility that employs her. Amy was rendered unconscious for a period of time and regained consciousness with her attacker standing over her swinging on her.
Amy sustained numerous injuries as a result of the attack including a laceration under her left eye requiring 7 stitches to close it, a concussion which her Dr. Says she’s still suffering from, neck, back and shoulder injuries, and the sight in her left eye has been compromised. Amy has frequent headaches and constant night terrors. According to her Dr. It is unknown at this time, how long she will be unable to work. Amy is receiving funds through Workman’s Compensation due to the on the job injury, but the amount she receives is only 2/3 of her normal paycheck. The amount she receives from Workman’s Compensation does not cover her family’s monthly obligations. Please send whatever you feel your able to so that Amy’s financial stress can be relieved and she can focus on her medical and mental recovery. Thank you in advance.
