Help Her Heal: Surgery and Family Aid

Hello! I am scheduled to have a Hysterectomy with Bilateral Salpingo-Oophorectomy... which is a fancy way of saying just about everything is being removed. I have been dealing with unpredictable periods since I was 11-12 years old, but the last few years have been pretty horrendous (blood loss and pain to the point of wanting to vomit). After some tests, my doctor has diagnosed me with PCOS, which is basically a big hormonal imbalance. A month ago, she found some polyps during my annual exam and after a biopsy, she discovered they are pre-cancer and I needed this surgery. My oncologist said he actually finds about 50% of the cases do have cancer that wasn't seen in the normal biopsy process.

This procedure will put me out of commission for 2-3 weeks for recovery and that is where these funds would come into use. I am single/divorced, live alone with my chihuahua (Nacho) and have no close friends or family nearby. My family all live about 800 miles away and would be traveling here to help take care of me during my initial recovery. My parents are both retired though, so paying for their travel expense is the main concern. I live in a small 1 bedroom and we need to rent a "vacation" home type of place for a week or two.

I am hoping to raise some funds in order to help them with the cost of driving across the country and renting a place to stay. The total cost will likely be around $4k but I thought this could help at least cover half.
