I would like to tell you about my friend, Melisa Van Meter, who is an amazing mom, sister, friend, and lawyer. She always gave so much of her time and self, until she gave too much to her own detriment. In late September 2025, her son took her to the emergency room where her blood sugar was over 630 and a serious skin infection was discovered. Since then, she has undergone eight surgeries, ten weeks in the hospital, followed by two weeks in physical rehab, and now resides in an assisted living center until she has recovered enough to care of herself. My friend is trying to heal and recover while trying to get the best treatment possible. Unfortunately, some of her treatment is not covered by insurance, such as everything she needs after being discharged from the hospital. Insurance will not pay for anything she needs now! My friend is not able to work and had to close her law practice. She has had life as she's known it ripped out from under her. Let's help her relieve some financial stress and allow her to focus on her recovery.
