This poor girl has not seen sunlight or a blade of grass for THREE YEARS!
Shes been trapped in a tiny stall with no windows for THREE YEARS! Standing in her own urine and feces letting her body rot away.

THE BARN OWNER BRAGGED ABOUT IT.

He said she is for sale..... He wants $2500 for her. She's not listed anywhere. He doesn't leave his hill and is terrible with technology. The farm itself looks abandoned, so I don't see anyone stopping by looking for a new horse either.

Her being in the stall is like a dog being trapped in a cage too small for it and fed the bare minimum with no interaction or care.

He BRAGGED about her not receiving any type of veterinary care for THREE YEARS

He BRAGGED about not giving her the proper trimming and hoof care horses need every 6 to 8 weeks, for THREE YEARS.

He was PROUD he hasn't put a single dime into her for THREE YEARS.

That is SEVERE NEGLECT.

She has dreadlocks all over her mane and tail. She smells strongly of urine and feces. Shes rubbing her tail off because she's full of worms for not getting any proper care. Her feet literally gave me nightmares the night I met her.

I found her when I went to a barn for a listing someone contacted me about for a friend. The girl who hd the listing kindly grabbed this mare and let her roam around the indoor arena. While she was trying to move around the arena, the girl told me about the mare.

Apparently the barn owner holds a grudge against the horses previous owners and is taking it out on the poor thing. She's not even that old. She was 7 when he left her locked up and now she's 10. With absolutely no proper care other than getting poor quality hay and water every day.

Watching her move was so painful. Every step she took you could see just how locked up her back and hips are because she can't move in her tiny stall.

But she picked her head up, full of spirit and tried her best to zoom around for a couple of minutes. It made me so happy seeing her run especially after the girl told me that mare lives in a stall and hasn't been let out in years!

Her feet are an absolute mess. This poor mare walked up to me when she finally got to stretch her legs. I saw how horrible her feet are. Her front feet at like skis, she's almost walking on one back ankle and the other foot is like a high heel. She needs proper hoof care asap before she is truly unsaveable and needs to be put down.

The owner told me that horse was scared of people. Every time she walked by my on the other side of the railing 10 feet away she stopped dead and stared through me 3 times, begging for help.

Please help me save this poor innocent girl.

The guy who owns her is older and greedy. The sad thing is if I reported him to animal control it would get ignored, because he's an ex police officer in that county.

When I left that barn I was so sad to see the state of that poor girl. It's all because this guy holds a grudge, this poor innocent animal is suffering.

Please help me raise money to get her out of that prison she's in. Help me rescue her so she can see the daylight and get all the proper care she's going to need. It's going to be a very long road with her hooves, but my farrier strongly believes he can help her ❤️

If he has faith, so do I ❤️

My goal is to raise $3,000. It'll cover her purchase her initial vetting and farrier costs. Anything raised over that will go to her specialty care and ongoing appointments with the farrier and vet.

*****Heath care plan*******

She will reside on my farm.

Temporarily until my vet and farrier deem it's ok, she will be in her own space until we get her body stable again and if they say she needs to be quarantined. It could be one of the quarantine pens, a paddock or a stall if she has infections in her hooves. Our stalls are twice the size of the one she currently lives in. I am very well versed in the care of stall bound horses, after dealing with one for 8 months this year.

It is entirely up to the professionals on how they want to treat her with initial turnout on the farm once we get to that point. Whatever they say I will absolutely do. To start out, she will be in quarantine until the vet does his initial visit.

Once she gets vaccinated, she will get a coggins and whatever testing my vet suggests due to her lack of care which may include blood work and X-rays.

Then her teeth will be floated a visit after her vaccines. It will also be done by my vet in case she has any infections and needs treatment.

She will be on a de worming schedule as well.

Once she gets the greenlight from my farrier and vet we will start introductions and give her a paddock mate so she can learn how to be a horse again and have friends. (This may take some time and will not be when she initially arrives)

She will be constantly monitored with video surveillance when I'm not home. If there's any issues whatsoever ever, I have people on call to help. I also have retired neighbors who always keep an eye on our horses along with theirs. (There front window faces our farm lol)

My farrier is already on board with her care. I have sent him lots of photos and videos. He already is forming a plan for her but will have a more solid plan of action once he sees her in person.

My veterinarian and farrier will absolutely be heavily involved in her care. I have never dealt with a horse with feet at the severity of hers.

I also have an amazing massage therapist who will be visiting regularly, she has plenty of experience with stall bound horses in recovery. This mare will also be receiving chiropractic care once we get to that point and it'll be one of my local veterinarians who specializes in it and sports medicine.

I have a really good team put together to help her.

If I raise over the 2500 the guy is selling her for, it will ALL be going to her ongoing care. It'll be about an extra thousand dollars when she initially arrives and she will have lots of farrier visits and specialty care done by him.
