As many of you know, I was diagnosed with breast cancer in January. It was Stage 1 but also triple negative, which is an aggressive type, so we have been aggressive in response. After lots of testing, chemo, a scary hospital stay, and pretty smooth surgery, I have one more major step to go in my treatment, which is radiation. Then, it will just be the maintenance immunotherapy (through February 2025) to decrease the likelihood of the cancer coming back and follow-up tests/appointments (2 years? 5 years?) to catch it if it does.

Although my insurance covered all the costs of the chemo, I'm still paying quite a bit for the surgery, and I will have to pay 20% of the cost of the radiation treatments. As you can imagine, this is a strain on my finances. Many of you have graciously helped with expenses, food, and errands already, and my dad has covered the myriad tests, the hospital stay, and part of the surgery. I'm so grateful for your generosity and overwhelmed by the support I've gotten so far.

I am hoping this is the last bit of help I need to get this whole process done, paid for, and behind me.
