Hello friends and family.
Five years ago, I was diagnosed with stage 4 breast cancer. Five years ago, I went through chemo treatment, and it made the cancer shrink until it no longer showed up on a CT scan.
A year ago, I started having back pain and thought it was because of my job helping people lift their luggage as a flight attendant, but it was cancer again in my back, hips, and spine. It was painful, so I had to retire from the job that I never stopped loving. My doctor was sure he could get me into remission with oral hormone blockers, so I decided, along with doing DoorDash, I would also start a home bakery. I invested in my bakery, and I loved it as much as I loved flying. I was having a lot of pain from the damage the cancer had done to my bones, but I didn’t think about the pain while I was creating healthy sourdough products and yummy treats from my heart.
Well, I didn’t get very far with my bakery when I learned that the cancer had now spread to my liver, and I needed to start chemo again. I still try to bake for my family and friends as gifts but had to stop doing DoorDash because of extreme exhaustion, dizziness, and a lot of nausea from the treatment. My mind is still happy, and I’m looking forward to returning to my bakery as soon as chemo is complete and I have some energy again.
With all of this being said, I need some help to get through this treatment phase, so I’m starting a GoFundMe page. This isn’t an easy task because I’d much rather be giving than asking for help again, but I need you all right now. Please pray for my healing, and if you can’t give right now, please share on your social media. I truly love and miss you all with all of my heart and will be back on my feet soon
