I'm coming to you to request help for my kitty Henry. On Saturday evening 2-14-26, Henry started showing odd behavior—meowing, yowling, and trying, but unable to pee. Early Sunday morning, I rushed him to Puget Sound Veterinary Specialty & Emergency Room in Gig Harbor, where he was diagnosed with a urethral obstruction caused by urinary crystals. This is a life-or-death emergency for cats, as it can quickly lead to a ruptured bladder or sepsis. The veterinary team had to unblock his urethra, drain and flush his bladder, insert a catheter, and provide IV fluids, pain relief, and muscle relaxers. Henry has been in the emergency hospital since Sunday, receiving round-the-clock care. They gave me the option of euthanasia, but I would never consider it—Henry is family. Thankfully, he is improving and, if all goes well, will come home soon.
The cost of his care, which could be upwards of $6,000, is overwhelming and more than I can manage alone. Henry, his playmate Maisy, and I would be extremely grateful for any help to pay the remainder of his emergency & hospital vet bill and continued care. I have no human kids & my furry little zoomie critters are my family. Any amount would mean the world to us and help relieve a huge burden. Henry is a special kitty. He was surrendered to a local vet emaciated, infested with parasites, and FIV positive (kitty AIDS). The vet asked if I could adopt him because I already had an FIV kitty at home, and I never looked back. He is an integral part of my family, and I give him all the love and attention he deserves.
I’m happy to answer any questions about Henry’s care or my background—transparency is important to me. A few tidbits of me to insure your trust: I’m a retired PT & used to live in Eugene Oregon.
Thank you for trusting and supporting us!
