Our little legend, Henry (9), has been given the chance of a lifetime – to represent Australia at the Barça Academy World Cup in Barcelona, March 2026!

Out of thousands of kids across the country, Henry is one of just 10 players selected to represent Australia at the Barça Academy World Cup, he’s also one of the youngest – proving that heart can shine brighter than age.

This World Cup brings together teams from all 7 continents and over 200 squads. It’s a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for Henry to test his skills, his courage, and his dreams against the best young players in the world.

Set across 10 days of training and competition, The Barça Academy World Cup is an international tournament and has been held since 2012. This tournament brings together teams from all Barça Academies around the world. Each year they have players from FC Barcelona's first teams as sponsors, as has been the case with Andrés Iniesta, Gerard Piqué, Sergi Roberto, Rafinha, Eric García and Jana Fernández, among others.

Henry’s journey so far has been built on what Barça Academy values most: HEART – Humility, Effort, Ambition, Respect and Teamwork. Every training, every match, every setback – he’s met it with grit, laughter, and pure love of the game.

Between travel, training, and the cost of competing internationally, this dream doesn’t come easily.
