Help Henry Heal — Supporting a Family That Rescues the Cats No One Else Will

For the past four years, my daughter and I have dedicated our time, hearts, and finances to rescuing feral cats in our community. What began as helping one frightened cat has grown into rescuing more than 35 feral cats—many of them sick, injured, abandoned, or forgotten.

We have paid for spay and neuter surgeries, emergency medical care, dental work, medications, and all the ongoing costs of rescue. Beyond the medical bills, we’ve spent countless hours socializing cats who were terrified of people and helping them learn to trust so they could find loving homes. Most have been rehomed; some became permanent members of our family.

Many of the cats we’ve rescued arrived with serious injuries. For example, one cat, Winslow, had been shot with a BB gun and hit with blunt force, shattering his jaw and leaving him unable to eat. He required reconstructive surgery just to survive. We covered the cost ourselves, as we always have—because when these cats come to us, they have no one else.

We have never asked for help.

Until now.

This fundraiser is for Henry.

Henry is a gentle, sweet cat who we rescued from an abandoned house that had been infested with rats and filth. He has two fractured front teeth. These fractures cause constant pain and make it difficult for him to eat. Dental pain in cats is severe, and the only way to relieve his suffering is with dental surgery.

After years of paying for rescue and emergency care out of pocket, we are no longer able to afford it alone.

Asking for help is not easy—but letting Henry continue to live in pain is not an option.
