Henry Clemons, my grandfather, has faced an incredibly challenging year. On Christmas Eve, he suffered a fall that resulted in a fractured pelvis, just months after enduring a heart attack and open heart surgery. Following his heart attack, Henry was sent to an inpatient rehabilitation center, but unfortunately, the care he received there was not adequate. He has continued to struggle with mobility and has not been able to regain his independence since that time.

Now, Henry needs to go to a skilled nursing facility. However, his insurance will not cover the full cost of this rehabilitation care/stay, and he is at risk of significant decline without the right support. Both Henry and my grandmother are unable to work right now, making it even more difficult to manage the expenses that come with his recovery. They are applying for financial assistance, but there is no guarantee they will be approved and they need help now. The funds raised will help cover his rehabilitation stay, transportation to and from the facility, post-rehab needs, and provide support for my grandmother as she cares for him at home.
