Hi friends,
This is Gwen, and I’m reaching out on behalf of someone incredibly special to me — my dear friend and sorority sister — and her beloved service dog, Henry.
I remember when she first brought Henry home. The bond between them was instant and unshakable. Since that day, Henry has been her unwavering companion — through a cross-country move, countless health challenges, and now, the journey of recovery from her 10th knee surgery and a recent total knee replacement.
Henry isn’t just a pet — he’s her lifeline. A service dog and emotional support animal, Henry has supported her through CPTSD, neurological issues, and so much more. He has given her strength, comfort, and purpose when life felt overwhelming.
Now, Henry needs our help.
A few weeks ago, Henry began vomiting frequently and losing weight rapidly. His mama didn’t hesitate — she took him to his normal vet, then two emergency vets, and now he needs a specialist. The good news? Henry is treatable. But he needs continued care — testing, medication, a special diet, and close monitoring. Without it, he won’t be able to keep food down, and he won’t survive.
The bad news? The cost of this care is mounting quickly — and after a major surgery, she simply can’t cover it on her own. She's currently on FMLA, working through physical therapy, and just starting the long road back to normalcy. There’s no room in her budget for unexpected emergencies — especially one this serious.
This is where we come in.
She would never ask for help herself — but I will. Because if you’ve ever had that one dog who saved you, you know exactly why she’s fighting so hard to save him.
Henry has been her hero. Now he deserves to be ours.
Every donation — no matter how small — helps give Henry a chance at a healthy, happy life. A chance to enjoy more walks, more cuddles, more days of being the loving, loyal dog he’s always been.
They’ve faced everything side by side. Let’s make sure that continues.
Please donate if you can — and share if you’re able. Thank you for being part of their story.
