We are raising funds to support Henry Jones, an exceptional young musician and sophomore trombone player at Hancock High School in Kiln, Mississippi, who has earned the distinguished honor of being selected for the Mississippi Lions All State Band.

Selection for this ensemble is highly competitive, requiring students to advance through a rigorous statewide audition process. Only the most dedicated and talented high school musicians are chosen. This award-winning band is recognized both nationally and internationally, having earned 38 international championships over the past 50 years—a testament to its legacy of excellence.

As Henry’s private lesson instructor, I have had the privilege of witnessing his dedication, discipline, and musical growth firsthand. This achievement holds special meaning for me, as I am also a four-year member and alumnus of the Mississippi Lions All State Band. It is incredibly rewarding to see one of my own students reach this milestone and continue the tradition of excellence that this program represents.

In June 2026, the Mississippi Lions All State Band will travel to China and Hawaii to compete on an international stage. This once-in-a-lifetime experience will allow Henry to grow as a musician, represent Hancock High School and the Mississippi Gulf Coast, and perform alongside the top student musicians in Mississippi.

We are raising funds to help cover travel expenses, lodging, and participation fees associated with this opportunity. Every contribution—no matter the size—helps remove financial barriers and ensures Henry can fully participate in this extraordinary experience.
