Help Henrique & Filipe race in Europe for the 2025 season
Donation protected
We’re Henrique and Filipe, two cyclists from the Ottawa/Gatineau region. We've known each other for a decade, our first cycling season as teammates was back in 2017 with CC Cuisses d’Or de l’Outaouais. From the very beginning, we formed a strong bond, training and racing together as we grew in the sport.
By 2020, we joined the Ottawa Bicycle Club, where we took on bigger races and pushed ourselves harder in training, laying the foundation for our future in competitive cycling. Over the years, we’ve both achieved personal milestones that have shaped our career.
In 2023, our paths diverged as we raced on different teams, sometimes even competing against each other. Despite this, our friendship remained as strong as ever, sharing rides and laughs outside of competition.
Henrique has shone as a versatile rider, excelling on the road and track with the Quebec Provincial Team. He earned podium finishes in key Canadian events, showing his talent and dedication to the sport. In 2024, Henrique represented Quebec at the Tour de Beauce and track Nationals, showcasing his skills in both road and track events.
Filipe represented Team Canada in many European cyclocross races and raced his first Cyclocross World Championships in 2023. In 2024, he moved to Italy to race with the CPS Professional Team, gaining invaluable experience competing against top U19 riders and growing as both an athlete and an individual.
Now, in 2025, we’re excited to be teammates again at XSpeed United, ready to take on the international cycling scene together! XSpeed is a Continental-level cycling team with a base in Belgium. We’ll race across several countries in Eastern, Western, and Northern Europe.
However, competing at this level comes with significant costs, and our team cannot cover all expenses for the season. To help offset these costs, we are organizing this fundraising campaign and we’d love your support! For each one of us, we estimate the costs of a full season to be around $30 000. This includes equipment, transportation, travel, accommodation, food, coaching and team fees.
How it Works:
Any spontaneous donation automatically enters you once for the Christmas baskets draw. If you surpass certain thresholds, you get a bonus! For example, a $25 donation will get you 1 entry, while a $50 donation will get you 5.
<$50 = 1 entry
$50 = 5 tickets
$100 = 15 tickets
$150 = 25 tickets
The more you contribute, the greater your chances of winning one of our special baskets!
Draw dates!
We will draw 2 baskets every 2 sunday begin on December 15 for a total of 6 baskets, December 15, December and 29 January 12.
We are deeply grateful for any contribution, big or small. Your support means the world to us and brings us closer to achieving our dreams.
Thank you!
