My son Henrik was born prematurely at 32 weeks and 6 days, and he is currently in the NICU. Although he is doing well, we still don't know when he will be able to come home. This has been an incredibly emotional and challenging time for our family, as we navigate the uncertainty of his health and the overwhelming costs that come with his care. Every day in the NICU brings new worries, but also hope as we watch Henrik fight and grow stronger.

Because I am so new at my job, I don’t qualify for full payment of disability benefits. This means we are struggling to afford rent, bills, and the essentials we need to keep our family going. Even with insurance, the cost of Henrik’s NICU stay is very expensive, and the financial strain is becoming too much for us to manage alone.
