Help Henrietta Find Rosina: Fund Invisible Girl!

Donation protected

We are excited to make a new art film, inspired by Mary Shelley's  short story The Invisible Girl. Directed by Jaclyn Bethany this diverse group of artists have  been granted an Artist Residency at Rosehouse Residency in idyllic Cobleskill, New York. Written by Sofia  Drummond-Moore and the Director the story plays on the Victorian gothic genre, while making our lead characters two women in love whose circumstance prevent them from being together.

We have raised initial funds and funds raised here will be used to complete our shooting days. The funds will go towards accommodation, feeding our cast and  crew, equipment, production/costume design travel and initial post-production. The  film will be devised in a collaborative way on site and in rehearsals, and our ensemble as a whole is helping the film come to life. Following in the footsteps of Mary Shelley, a trailblazer of her time, along with her contemporaries whose artistic retreats in 19th century Europe  sparked many creative and progressive works, our film aims to pay homage to this collaborative creative process. After  such a tough and transformative year, we are excited to come together to tell a story that needs to be told. Especially after a year in quarantine, we all seek a  creative community, a chosen family that  our ensemble will be given through this specific creative process.

Exploring feminist theory, horror, magical realism and genre defying themes, the story appeals to the LGBTQ community as well as a wider audience seeking to  escape the daily mundane. We have specifically chosen to make this film during    Pride month to honor and celebrate this love story.

Our set will follow COVID guidelines and include testing as required by the CDC.

PLEASE NOTE: If you are interested in making an investment in the project,            please contact us.

'Taught from infancy that beauty is woman's sceptre, the mind shapes itself to the body, and roaming round its gilt cage, only seeks to adorn its prison.' - Mary Wollstonecraft

REISE ALEXANDER was born in Allen, Texas. From a young age Reise knew that being a performer was the dream. Sports were a big part of life for nine years but there was always something missing. Making people smile by telling a story became an important part of everyday life. The decision to become an actor was made.

From the beginning Reise knew she was more than what was expected. She came out as transgender at age 14. Reise attended a talent search to showcase ability and was signed to an agency.

When not performing Reise can be found outside gazing up to the stars at night where she finds her muse for creativity and collects her thoughts. "I'm a huge dreamer and I hope on day to have a strong enough platform to help fund awareness for other trans kids and LGBT members who need support...so they can have someone to lean on when times are hard."

Reise has a heart of gold and an old soul with integrity and strong will. Reise's agent is continually pitching her for roles and anticipates a promising future for this young lady.

"I love what I do. Nothing makes me happier."
