Hi, my name is Sandra Bittner, and I’m fundraising for my amazing, sweet 6-year-old Staffy mix, Hennessy. He was recently diagnosed with a grade 1 heart murmur, and after further testing (including an echocardiogram and lab work), we learned he is also experiencing arrhythmias.

The next crucial step is a 24-hour heart monitor to fully understand his condition and create the best treatment plan for him. Unfortunately, the tests and cardiology visits have added up quickly. My CareCredit is already maxed out, and the upcoming costs are more than I can manage alone.

Hennessy means the world to me. He has been my constant companion, and all I want is to make sure he has the most comfortable, longest life possible. Any help — no matter how small — would mean so much to us. Your support would directly go toward his diagnostics and care, and would truly make a difference.

We received the cardiology report from the 24-hour heart monitor. The results showed around 2,000 VPCs (arrhythmias). Because of this, the cardiologist is now recommending an abdominal ultrasound to rule out any possible abdominal masses that could be contributing to his condition.

This will be the final step in determining whether Hennessy needs to start heart medication or if we can safely monitor him and repeat diagnostics in a few months.

I’ve also added a few photos of Hennessy wearing his heart monitor—he was such a good boy during application and throughout the whole process.
