Help Hendrix Get Life-Saving Surgery

Donation protected

This is Hendrix. He is a 3-year-old dachshund who is full of life and the sweetest, most loving pup.

On Saturday, November 2nd, we noticed Henny straining to relieve himself. We went to Philadelphia Animal Hospital on Sunday, November 3rd, and found out his bladder was extended and he had an abnormal amount of stones. They gave him meds and sent him home.

Monday, November 4th, we were right back at PAH and waited 10 hours as a walk-in, and Hendrix was finally seen. They drained his bladder and pushed a stone back in that was blocking his urethra. We also got four medications to bring home and a prescription food diet. Hendrix stopped urinating on his own again later that night.

Tuesday, we were right back at PAH, and again they drained his bladder, and we made an appointment for surgery on Thursday, 11/7, to remove the stones. Today, Wednesday, 11/6, we were to take him back in to drain his urine. At around 10 am, Hendrix started seizing (one of the scariest things I've ever experienced), and we rushed him back to PAH. They didn't have a surgeon on duty and recommended we immediately take him to PASE Philadelphia Animal Specialty & Emergency. Hendrix is currently hospitalized and is critical. They are working to stabilize him to be able to do surgery.

We are exhausted of all funds. Between all the emergency room visits from Sunday until today, we are far beyond maxed out. We NEED him to get this surgery. It is quoted between $6000-$7000. His overnight hospital bill each night is an additional $2500 until he is stabilized for surgery.

This little guy is 3 YEARS OLD and before Saturday was as healthy as can be. He deserves to live and has so much more life in him. Please, if you can spare anything to help us, we would greatly appreciate it and forever be grateful. If you're unable to donate, please share this and PRAY for Henny. Please, please, please pray. Keep him in your thoughts, anything, please!! He's our baby, and we want him back home. His brothers are so lost without him, and so are we! I will continue to update. He is currently receiving IV fluids, pain medication, and a catheter to relieve him to help get him stabilized.
